Terms of Service

By creating an account or accessing Spectr at spectrtechnology.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms apply to all users, including developers, teams, and organizations accessing Spectr for evaluation or production use.

Spectr is an AI-native testing cloud platform that provides:

- Multi-LLM test generation (Playwright, Selenium, pytest, API) using your own API keys

- Jira AI automation and sprint planning assistance

- Browser matrix execution and parallel test runs

- AI-powered report analysis and root cause clustering

- Agent observability via LangSmith integration

- AI operations dashboard for cost and performance monitoring

The service is provided "as-is" and is actively developed. Features may be added, changed, or removed with reasonable notice.

Eligibility — You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and current.

Account security — You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at hello@spectrtechnology.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

One account per person — Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions is prohibited.

API keys — Any third-party API keys you add to Spectr (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.) remain subject to each provider's own terms of service. You are solely responsible for your usage and costs on those platforms.

You agree not to use Spectr to:

- Generate, distribute, or execute malicious code, malware, or exploits

- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, networks, or accounts (penetration testing requires explicit written authorization from the target system owner)

- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary algorithms from the platform

- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to Spectr without written permission

- Use AI features to generate content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory

- Exceed rate limits or circumvent usage controls through automated means

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Your content — Tests, prompts, configurations, and outputs you create remain your property. You grant Spectr a limited license to process this content solely to provide the service.

Spectr platform — The Spectr platform, UI, branding, algorithms, and documentation are owned by Spectr Technology. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Spectr intellectual property to you.

AI-generated content — You own the test code and outputs generated by AI on your behalf through the Spectr platform, subject to the terms of the underlying LLM provider you used.

Feedback — If you submit suggestions or feedback about Spectr, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the service.

Spectr is currently provided free of charge. To use AI-powered features, you must supply your own API keys from the relevant LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, Mistral, etc.).

Demo access — The platform owner may make certain AI capabilities available for demonstration purposes using a shared API key. This demo access may be rate-limited, modified, or withdrawn at any time without notice.

No billing currently — Spectr does not currently charge users. We reserve the right to introduce a paid tier in the future with at least 30 days' notice to existing users.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure

- AI-generated test code will be accurate, complete, or fit for production use

- Any defects will be corrected

AI-generated content should be reviewed and validated by qualified engineers before use in production systems.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPECTR TECHNOLOGY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Spectr in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

By you — You may delete your account at any time via the account settings. Upon deletion, your data is removed per our Privacy Policy.

By Spectr — We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will provide notice where practicable.

Effect of termination — Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Spectr Technology is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made.
